I bow my head to the heaven within heaven
Hairline rays illuminating the universe
The eight winds cannot move me
Sitting still upon the purple golden lotus
Impressed by his conquering of the "eight winds" (praise, ridicule, honor, disgrace, gain, loss, pleasure, and misery), Su Dongpo sent a servant to deliver his poem across the river to Zen master Foyin. He felt certain that his friend would be just as impressed. When Foyin read the poem, he wrote "fart, fart" on the manuscript and had it returned to Su Dongpo.
Su Dongpo was shocked when he saw what the Zen master had written. Unaware of his own anger, he said, "What is the meaning of this? I can't believe he could be so rude and insulting!" Full of indignation, Su Dongpo ordered a boat to ferry him to the other shore as quickly as possible. Once there, he jumped off and charged into the temple. He wanted to find Foyin and demand an apology. He found Foyin's door closed. On the door was a note, upon which was written:
"The eight winds cannot move me
But one fart blows me across the river."

Dear family, friends and masters,
I started doing Yoga 19 years ago and finally (F I N A L L Y) I found my precious teachers, the technique and the time to join the parade of those who spread the benefits of experiencing Yoga.
I'm starting a Yoga class where I'll put into practice my lessons on how to gain strength, stretch, alignment, and to listen to the body, the heart and eight million chakras.
:)
Please feel free to invite your roommate, your schoolmates, your soul mate... your cousins, your grandma's pedicurist, your business partner,
allies and enemies:
Every 2nd and 4th Saturday of the month from 10am to 11:30am @ 8th St. Studio (2525 Eighth St., Berkeley, CA, 94710)
(sorry but crocodiles, piranhas, grenades or weapons of mass destruction are not allowed)
I'm starting this Saturday 22*. No fee for the class till March, but donations are always accepted.
May I become a wonderful (humble) Yoga Instructor
and may the light from Eight million suns protect me from doubt.
don't forget to bring your body, we'll need it.
