It was a nice way to die though

William Blake
"Pity"

I almost died.

Burning in fever for a couple of days,
I had no choice (or any other wish) but to stare at the ceiling,
waiting to disintegrate.

Easily observing how all my dark plasma was been burnt.
All the thoughts that infuriate me (and I didn't know)
the rush, the caffeine, the greed, - the invisible fear of every moment -

Everything was been trans-mutated into ashes.
I let the fever run
No more analgesics.
Let  hell do it's job.

Even if the chills were so dramatic
-alien-
while the body was dressed in flames -eaten by a collection of pains-
I was surprised by an invasion (a holy occupation) of patience
and good will.

Feeling no attraction to any of the "awards of life"
I speak up and... whisper: "I'm ready to go".
Like a little girl,
talking alone (maybe praying), repeating a mantra: "I'm ready to go", "I'm ready to go"...
I own nothing, not possessed, not possessing, not been hated, not been loved...I can go.

What held me back?
What made me shake the Ibuprofen bottle and swallow it's pills?
Compassion?
 Pity toward so many things?
a naive mission: to help?

I enjoy the injection of calm, still
the redemption of innocence
the detachment from power.
When fire burns all the "important thoughts"
it only rests but spontaneously smiles,
and freedom of mind.

Ballet de la Compasión VIDEO (and peace & donuts of course)

We were invited to participate with a dance video (un video para toda la familia) to a series of conferences starting in Tijuana, Mexico. Then in Washington D.C., USA and finally in Oaxaca, Mexico.

This video is for  all ages and all races.  It contains words in Spanish, English thoughts, dance and urban graffiti paintings, dancing with a little bit of Mandarin in Chinatown, and dancing with veggies in a very crowded Chinese supermarket.   :)

The purpose of the first conference (in Tijuana) was to create a space to discuss and establish alternative solutions to regional problems, which are part of the lives of people on both sides of the border. For the development of these activities they involved not only college students, government representatives and important academic exponents but also youth groups such as community leaders, urban artists (graffiti), practitioners of extreme sports, urban tribes and so-called counterculture (alternative musicians, skaters, and darketos).

When you work in collaboration with other artists, there are lots of things that you don’t have control over. You work hard doing your part... the rest will be a surprise. I am full of gratitude for all the wonderful friends who worked on this video and made it possible.
Marcos Luger,  an amazing film director from Venezuela (you eres pure MAGIC)
Moises Regla, Mexican visual artist (un amigo foreva no matter la distancia)
Luis Maurette y Alejandra Ortiz, Argentina y Colombia Presentes! (your music has marked our generation profundamente)
Mayra Enriquez and Mayra Madriz (you are loyal, you are good, you are sweet, you are LUZ)

We all know the huge, THE HUGE problems that Mexico is having. To me, as a simple artist (and so small a human being), it’s amazing, AMAZING (feels so good to the heart) to be part of a platform that produces, creates and looks for SOLUTIONS. Promote peace -- considering the importance of the relationship between Mexico and the United States -- analyze thoughtful propositions, and generate ideas for the dignity of life on the edge.

Muchas GRACIAS to the organizers of these collection of forums.
Carla Gomez Monrroy you  are a remarkable Mexicana.
