Carla Carla Carla ZZZZZZZZZZZ mi favorita red hair ever

(I wrote this past Nov. 20th)

I've been working as a caregiver for almost a year. This work made me one of the most happiest girls among the 7 billion human beings living in this planet, and this disturbing sensation of feeling a useless artist is close to disappear.

I take care of famous Carla Zilbersmith.

I have so much to say, so so soooooooo much to talk about Carla that i decide to be practical and follow the who, what, where, why, and whatsoever.

Who?

Carla Zilbersmith is a great Canadian artist, a best friend, a mother, a leader, an unforgettable theater professor, hilarious actress, a writer, an ex-singer, but she is dying she has an abominable, horrible, unbearable, incurable disease call ALS.

In few words you -- death--- in few years --- no cure yet.

Great people like famous pianist Shostakovich
or the great genius Stephen Hawking and the famous baseball player Lou Gehrig suffered ALS.

What is ALS?
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), often referred to as "Lou Gehrig's Disease," is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord. It means that if you get ALS you can hire me and i will shower you, dress you, do your hair and make up, put your eye contacts, feed you and your parrot, wash your teeth, answer your emails...  you will become my baby :)

Where?
We are in Berkeley, and one of the most incredible things about Carla is that she has an ARMY of loyal friends, a super duper comited community of nice people that come all around the bay area,
USA, Canada and Mexico to help her, I think she is one of the most interesting woman ever.

So... one day, film director John Zaritsky, a Oscar-winner award, decided to make a documentary about Carla. Zaritsky have won more than 30 awards for his documentary films. Today we invite you to come to the Sneak Peak of Leave Them Laughing at the College of Marin Fine Arts Theater. I understand from the people producing the event that they are almost sold out so better hurry up ....
you can check the trailer here:

Please check the trailer.

"Leave Them Laughing is a comedy about Dying", ABOUT DYING! believe me i haven't laugh so "F" hard in my life since I am working for Carla, she is one of the best "EPIC EVENTS" that have happened in my life. Even if she can't move and hardly talk she is always helping me or helping others and CARLA has been a SOLID support in my life in ALL levels.

You may wonder, come on natta what is this cripple doing for the world?
Let me tell you:
She organized all the ALS folks and made them pose, click, photo, click and TA TA TA TAAN we got a "Always Looking Sexy" Calendar, all the money from this calendar is going directly to raise funds for ALS research, por favor POR FAVOR!! visit this link and buy one calendar:
https://alwayslookingsexy2010.alscommunity.org/GroupSite/tabid/54/view/Default/Default.aspx

Believe me or not, with this calendar, Carla has raised already some thousands $ :) yet we need more, until we find a CURE.

Whatsoever?
I want to give international thanks to all the inventors, doctors, designers and whatsoevers who invent all these machines like the high tech wheel chairs, breathing machines, bath chairs, coughing machine, electric bed, water thickener, leg stretcher, warm collar, fixed collar, computer software command program...electric socks, VALIUM, GRACIAS GRACIAS GRACIAS!!!!

I asked Carlita to send me a photo so I can write something serious about her. This is one of the photos she sent me, I told her that nobody was going to believe she is dying.

She has a WONDERFUL blog:

Good bye mis amigos, this email is long and I thank you if you finished to read it all.
I'm sorry for my grammatic or spelling mistakes but is late and don't have nobody to correct me.

I love youuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu.

If your partner is ill, love is a call to action. Love wakes parents up in the middle of the night. It caused a man I know to risk tenure because his mom was sick half way across the country in Cleveland. It invited my friends to discover the bottomless depths of their generosity and compassion. Yes. Yes. Love is not so much a feeling as an alarm bell, a runner's gun, a reminder that we are only as good as the good we do for one another.
Love is not so much a feeling as a call to action.
